When the former library on Harrison Avenue was bursting at the seams, ignite cda partnered with the city and the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation to help realize the dream of a downtown public library. And realize we did.

The expansive 38,500 square foot downtown facility offers more amenities, including much needed meeting space and a 200-seat Community Room, and is immensely popular with the community. For example, library attendance at the new library in 2011 was 107,000 higher than the final year of the old library. Without urban renewal funding, which targeted land acquisition, the endeavor would not have been possible.
